Hello, I have a website about wound care in home health and about the OASIS-C wound items. I was wondering if you would like to add my site to your blogroll?

It is at www.woundconsultations.com

Thank you so much, and keep up the great, helpful posts.
Sue
PS, I am from Minneapolis. I hear it has been quite warm there this winter. How odd!

Hi Pat,
We are having a conflicting opinion of the Resumption of Care Oasis. I have always thought that it could generate a new HHRG if the dx and POC changed significantly. For example, if a patient that was admitted for TKA aftercare were to fall and experience a fx, then develop an ulcer while hospitalized, the cost of care increases significantly. I am being told that the resumption of care doesn't effect the HHRG. Please help, I don't mind learning new things, but I can't believe that the HHRG is only generated at SOC and recerts.

Pat,
At the MHCA meeting we were discussing the face to face and the NP ability to DO the encounter with the collaborating physician completing the actual document. Can you assist us in getting clarification on whether the "collaborating physician" has to be the MD that is in an official collaborative agreement with the NP or can the NP submit their documentation to the PMD (who is probably from a completely different network of providers) for them to complete the F2F from?
Thanks so much!

Hi,
I have a question that I don't know where to go to look for an answer to. I am exploring doing PICC placements in the home and am wondering if anyone has done this, if not, do you think it would be covered under our Part A homecare license. Or, would I need to get a Part B license? If you can point me in the right direction I would be greatful.
Thank you

Pat, we are confused about providing both PCA and Home Health Aide services. Licensing dept has told us PCA does not fall under any license, but only regulated under the DHS rules. Therefore, can we just carry a Class A license, yet follow the guidelines for pca supervision under the DHS regulations?
Our second questions is about Mantoux's. Are we required to pay for or provide the mantoux testing on hiring? Or can it be a hiring requirement before they are placed on staff which they need to pay for themselves?
